1984 - WAHL recognized the desire for well kept facial hair and created the trimmer category with the first cordless beard and mustache trimmer. The Groomsman was the world's first battery operated facial hair trimmer, and had the same ground blades that defined WAHL clippers. Fine teeth = fine quality. -

2006 - Facial hair fanatics rejoice as the first Let It Grow Tour hits the road to celebrate those who proudly sport facial hair. The tour helps form the WAHL Nation - a tight knit, tightly trimmed facial hair community. -
2009 - WAHL powered by Lithium Ion. It is the first tool to harness the power of lithium ion technology - the most technologically advanced rechargeable battery available. Interchanging heads allow for beard trimming, ear and nose hair detailing, shaving, hair clipping and all other necessary grooming.
